Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who began her career with smart raps that addressed gender and ethnic identities from a the most comical of perspectives. Her career then grew to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents from Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. While in school, she concentrated on women's studies and journalism. She was also a student of Mandarin briefly in Beijing. When she graduated, she started to focus on music. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014.
